Organize Your Life with Evernote
Technology is often a double-edged sword filled with a blend of blessings and curses. On the one hand, technology can simplify your life. On the other hand, it can cause chaos. How can you make things easy on yourself without turning your world inside-out? The answer is easy. All you need is Evernote.
With Evernote, you can achieve organization without getting bogged down by complicated details. Evernote prides itself on simplifying every aspect of your life by helping you keep track of what’s important to you. Think of it as a productivity app on steroids. It functions as an electronic filing cabinet, notebook and to-do list all rolled into an easy-to-use app that’s available on your desktop, laptop, tablet and most mobile devices.
Evernote serves as my personal digital database with encryption capabilities. All my files are safely stored in Evernote and protected from the prying eyes of intruders. This allows me to securely store my medical records (blood work and other test results) and even my tax returns as encrypted documents (Password protected PDF). When I visit my doctor for a routine checkup, I can email the medical records they need directly from my smartphone.
Evernote also has an awesome calendar feature that seamlessly transforms reminders into specific events, so you’ll never miss an important meeting again. As an added bonus, Evernote can be integrated with other online calendars (for a fee with limited features). You can even sync Evernote with Google Calendar, Outlook’s Calendar App and other popular services.
One of my favorite features is that I can invite other users to access specific files on my account without disclosing files that I would rather keep private. This handy feature makes Evernote an ideal project-management tool for individuals, families, startups and small businesses.
I can personally attest to the power of Evernote. I use it with my coaching clients to help them organize their lives. I can create a private and secure notebook for each client that allows us to share session requests and documents that benefit our experience. It’s a win-win situation.
Whether you’re a busy parent or a small business owner, you can take advantage of Evernote’s project-management features to manage an entire project — from start to finish — without opening up your email app. Evernote allows you to create check lists, prioritize tasks and share deadlines so that everyone is on the same page.
The best part about Evernote is that no tree was chopped down to help you stay organized. Evernote is the environmentally friendly way to save the planet from filing cabinets and the best way to manage data in the virtual world instead of the physical world.
